June Check-In: Some Time is Better Than No Time
getting out of a content rut, summertime reads, & more
If this email cuts off, you can view it on the web.
Hi friends,
Between launching our Membership 2.0 (enrollment is open until June 30th!), working on client projects, and trying to take some real time off this summer, we’re leaning into this simple truth: some time is better than no time.
It’s something we believe deeply when it comes to PR. You can see momentum and results through PR by putting in as little as an hour a week towards researching media, sending pitch emails, and posting to your channels. Even if it’s just one post a week, consistently showing up makes a difference.
This is what we help our members do: create a rhythm that’s realistic, flexible, and sustainable. You don’t need a perfect plan or huge blocks of time. It’s about getting started, figuring out what you can commit to, and sticking with it.
If you’ve been feeling behind or uninspired, keep reading for some actionable takeaways to get back on track. Plus we’re sharing some cherry-coke-fun books and shows to gulp down this summer.

p.s. Please “heart” this post! It helps other small business owners and creators find it.

Outline 1 Post a Week from Now Through Labor Day
If you haven’t already, check out our 14 summer post ideas and outline your own posts from now through Labor Day Weekend. These ideas are just thought starters — customize them for your own business. Think about what you have to offer, whether it’s a product, service, area of expertise or content, as well as what your audience needs and wants this time of year.
Start by writing down post ideas for the remaining weeks of summer, and then block a day or two to batch content creation. When you’re able to step away from social media during your vacation, you’ll be thankful you worked ahead!
Add Social Media Onto An Existing Routine
If you truly feel like you have no time for social media, think about a daily habit or routine you could add it onto, rather than having to find more time in your day.
What is working for me (Kathryn) right now is sharing quick PR tips on Instagram Stories while making my morning smoothie. And on my personal IG, I’ve been posting videos I film while cooking dinner my 3-year-old and 7-month-old. People seem to love them — they’re chaotic, unscripted, and real.
Rather than spotlighting one member this month, we thought it would be fun to share a handful of members who have joined our July 2025-July 2026 membership year. It’s already an amazing group and we’d love to have you join us!
p.s. Enrollment closes on June 30th and membership doors will not reopen until January, so if you’re ready to dive in, sign up now!

Following:
@homeworthy for dreamy home tours.
Watching:
If you’re looking for a lighthearted series to binge, check out The Residence on Netflix. It’s a comedic, whodunit murder mystery set in the White House — with a sprinkle of Wes Anderson-y charm.
