We’re all about simplifying, especially when you’re the one running both social media and your business. It’s a lot, but it can be manageable if you set an attainable goal and stick with it.
If you are scrambling to find time to post, here is our very minimal content prep recommendation:
Outline 1 post a week for all of summer.
Yes, just 1 post a week on whichever platform you are active on, whether it’s Instagram, TikTok, or Substack.
There are 14 weeks between Memorial Day and Labor Day, so that’s 14 posts total. You can do this, and we will too!

Be sure to incorporate key dates and upcoming moments for your business, like holidays, events, sales, partnerships, giveaways, launches, etc.

14 Weeks of Summer - Content Ideas
1. Kick Off to Summer
Post Idea: Share how you're embracing the season: travel plans, shopping lists, new goals, or favorite summer rituals and traditions.
Caption inspo: “Summer starts now! Here’s what we’re looking forward to…”
2. Seasonal Favorites
Post Idea: A flat lay, Reel, or carousel of your favorite summer products, tools, or creative inspirations.
Caption inspo: “A few things we’re reaching for on repeat this season…”
3. Summer in Progress
Post Idea: A photo dump or Reel of real life right now: work/life, behind the scenes, travel.
Caption inspo: “Snapshots from a summer in progress: slow mornings, creative afternoons, and everything in between.”
4. Meet the Maker / Founder Feature
Post Idea: Personal intro, a day in your life, or a creative moment at work.
Caption inspo: “Hi, I’m NAME, and here’s a little more about me…”
5. Fan Favorite
Post Idea: Highlight a best-seller, most saved post, or most-loved product/service.
Caption inspo: “You all can’t get enough of this one, and we get it…”
6. In the Wild
Post Idea: UGC or styled shoot: show your work being used or worn out in the real world. If you are a content creator or expert without a product, you could share behind the scenes that shows you out and about, or testimonials.

7. Creative Inspo/Behind the Scenes
Post Idea: Show the process of creating something -- your space, a design in progress, packing orders, a mood board, DIY project, event, etc.

8. Something New, Restocked or Repurposed
Post Idea: Tease a new product or feature something that just came back in stock. OR give an existing product or service a fresh spin for summer. If you’re a content creator, you could bring back an old content series or announce a new one for summer.
