Hi y’all - from AD here 😙 we’re dissolving Clever! And moving all that content to AD Shopping, pushing for a more elevated editorial voice and merchandising, that’s a bit less playful/millennial than Clever was. Otherwise, gorgeous roundup 💝
I can’t believe you guys are giving out this info for free! Probably the best tips I’ve seen in one place. Also using a photographer they already work with is advice I give all the time that no one takes! Helped me get published on AD!
Thank you so much for this! I have my first architecture client and I want more people to see her amazing work and how incredible she is! I feel like there aren’t enough women architects in the space and that needs to change ❤️
This was so valuable. Thanks for taking the time to share! As someone just starting out in the industry with print/digital ultimate goals this felt like accidentally overhearing some really juicy secrets. There is a lot of (understandable) gatekeeping, so this was great.
Also worth mentioning that the digital team isn't included here and they review all of the pitches for the website, the other editors listed only oversee content for the magazine!
Thank you so much for this! We are going to be hosting a design event in a chic venue that is a bit out of the box in Oct this year - do you suggest we take vignette photos in the venue pre-event or do a post-event recap? We are trying to raise awareness about a new design material. Open to your thoughts on this.
Hi! I would do both. : ) An event (especially at a cool venue) is always an opportunity to capture content and bring your story to life. I would pull together a shot list of all the moments and details you want to capture both pre-event and during. Hope this helps!
